Tangerang City – The enforcement action against street vendors (PKL) operating in the GOR Gondrong area, Cipondoh Subdistrict, Tangerang City, has received appreciation from local residents. They consider the initiative led by the Head of Cipondoh Subdistrict, together with the Cipondoh Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) and the Head of Gondrong Village, as a clear demonstration of the government’s commitment to upholding public order and restoring public facilities to their intended functions.

According to several residents, the enforcement process was carried out in an orderly, measured, and humane manner while remaining firm in addressing violations of existing regulations. Residents expressed hope that the operation would not be a one-time effort but would instead become part of continuous supervision to ensure that the GOR Gondrong area remains orderly, safe, and comfortable for public use.

“We appreciate the Head of Cipondoh Subdistrict, the Cipondoh Satpol PP, and the Head of Gondrong Village for demonstrating courage in regulating street vendors in the GOR Gondrong area. The operation was conducted firmly yet orderly, allowing the situation to remain safe and conducive,” said one resident.

Residents believe that the presence of street vendors operating in unauthorized locations has long created various problems, including obstructed pedestrian access, traffic congestion, the accumulation of waste, and reduced comfort for people using the GOR area for sports and other public activities.

In addition to expressing appreciation for the enforcement effort, the community also hopes that the government will continue to provide appropriate solutions for affected vendors in accordance with applicable regulations, ensuring that urban planning balances the public interest with the livelihoods of local traders.

Residents also urged all parties to respect the local government’s policies, which are implemented based on prevailing laws and regulations. They emphasized that no individual or group should exploit the situation for personal interests or obstruct efforts to improve and organize the public area.
