Dilikkasus86.com – Bandung — A traffic accident occurred at the intersection of Jalan Buahbatu and Jalan Cijagra in Lengkong District, Bandung City, on Sunday morning (March 8, 2026) at approximately 06:18 WIB. The incident involved a Honda sedan and a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle without a license plate.
According to initial information from the scene, the Honda sedan was traveling from north to south along Jalan Buahbatu. Upon reaching the intersection, the driver attempted to turn right toward Jalan Cijagra. At the same time, a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle was traveling from south to north, resulting in a collision at the intersection.
As a result of the impact, the motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and was immediately taken to Hasan Sadikin Hospital (RSHS) Bandung for medical treatment. Fortunately, no fatalities were reported in the incident.
The Head of the Traffic Law Enforcement Unit (Kanit Gakkum) of the Bandung Metropolitan Police Traffic Division, AKP Fiekry Adi Perdana, stated that authorities are still conducting further investigations to determine the exact cause of the accident.
“Based on the initial crime scene investigation and witness statements, it is suspected that the car driver did not fully pay attention to the traffic situation ahead and beside the vehicle while making the turn,” AKP Fiekry explained.
Currently, the Traffic Law Enforcement Unit of the Bandung Metropolitan Police is continuing to question witnesses and conduct further investigation into the incident.
Police also urge all road users to remain cautious and obey traffic regulations while driving. With Eid al-Fitr approaching, traffic volume is expected to increase significantly due to heightened public mobility.
